1970 Holden HT Station Wagon
The Holden HK HT HG models ran from 1968 through to 1971. They were the replacement series for the HD HR model range. They were a larger and heavier car than that series and introduced the names Belmont, Kingswood, Brougham and Monaro to the Holden range. Sedan, Station Wagon, Utility, Panel van and coupe bodies were offered in the range.
The venerable 6 cylinder “Red” motor was the mainstay power plant of the range, with two new Holden made V8 engines available for the first time for the top line trims.
This HT wagon came to us as a straight well preserved original car. But as with all these older original vehicles there was a lot going on under the surface. The car has had significant rust repairs undertaken, then was prepped and repainted. The under-bonnet painting was completed with the engine in situ. The engine has not received any attention.
