1962 ISO Rivolta IR340 GT

Renzo Rivolta was the son of a Milanese industrialist in the wool trade. Renzo, keen to tread a different path, purchased a refrigeration company called Isothermos prior to WW2 and ran it successfully through the war years. Post war Renzo anticipated a demand for low cost transportation and turned the company to micro car and scooter production. With funds available from the licencing of the successful Isetta car to BMW, Renzo was keen to move onto grander things. The Rivolta GT was the first in the line of American powered upmarket GTs constructed by the company. Powered by Chevrolet’s 327cui engine, and clothed in panel work by Betone, it is a striking, powerful and very fast grand tourer.
